Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport Bridges After-School Care Gap in Scott County

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport is thrilled to announce its upcoming Youth Basketball Clinic, a dynamic community event aimed at fostering basketball skills and promoting positive mentorship among young athletes. The clinic will take place on Saturday, October 21, from 12:00 pm (noon) to 3:00 pm at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport, and it is open to all youth aged 5-18.

This exciting opportunity will feature Men's Basketball Coach Brooks Savage and select ETSU Men's Basketball players. They will be on hand to provide hands-on coaching, guidance, and support to the participants. The clinic's focus will be on honing basketball fundamentals, practicing essential skills, and helping kids improve their basketball game.

In a show of commitment to the community, Jessica Poore, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport, expressed her gratitude for ETSU's involvement in the event, saying, "We are grateful to the coaches and players from ETSU who are willing to take time out of their Saturday to come hang out with our kids, help them get better in basketball, and be a positive role model. It is truly remarkable what we can accomplish when we partner with organizations who share in our beliefs of empowering kids and want to make a difference in the communities we serve."

The clinic is offered free of charge to all participants, making it an accessible opportunity for young athletes to enhance their basketball skills and build strong connections with local college athletes and coaches.
