Volunteer At the Boys & Girls Club

Make a difference in your community and be a positive impact on Club kids and teens!


Volunteers play an important role in our mission to help young people grow into productive, responsible, and caring citizens. By giving your time, you can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life. Positive adult role models are essential to the healthy development of young people, and for some of the youth we serve, the Club may be one of the few places where they have consistent access to caring, supportive adults.


Volunteers will need to fill out an online Volunteer Application below. Upon staff approval of application, Volunteer will have to complete a background check, attend orientation and complete required BGCA trainings. Volunteers will worth directly with a professional staff member throughout this process and beyond.

  • How can I volunteer?

    Click "Volunteer Application" above and fill out the application in its entirety. Questions? Call Lauren Green at 423-435-0574. Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year. 

  • What is the Volunteer Application Process?

    Step 1: FIll out volunteer application. 

    Step 2: Upon application approval, you will receive an email to complete a background check. 

    Step 3: Once background check is approved, you will receive an email to set up your Portal and get your Volunteer Membership activated! 

    Step 4: Volunteer will complete required trainings and attend orientation.

    Step 5: You are now an official volunteer!!

  • Can minors volunteer?

    Yes. A minor is defined as an individual below the age of 18. Occassions do arise where Boys & Girls Club will allow a minor to be an official volunteer. This process does include additional paperwork from the legal guardian. If you are a minor, please have a legal guardian fill out the the Parental Consent for Minor Volunteers form and return to Boys & Girls Club at 1 Positive Place or email the signed copy to laureng@kbgc.org.

Week of Caring

Volunteer with your business or organization to help with cleaning, organizing, painting, gardening, repairs and more during United Way's Week of Caring.

Help with Youth Sports

You can teach the importance of teamwork, being a good leader and hard work through volunteering as a coach with one of sports program partners.

Volunteer at an Event

Help at one of our many community events. We could always use volunteers to help with set up and take down as well as throughout the event.
