Thank you to all of the athletic director, coaches and staff for submitting your champion athletes and teams. We received over 50 nominations from 15 different high schools in our region. Finalists have been selected and invitations have been mailed. Keep a look out on our social media pages leading up to the event as we announce our finalists for reach category.

Our 2025 Night of Champions Keynote Speaker is:

University of Tennessee Vols Running Back DeSean Bishop!

Bishop is an explosive, playmaking running back who produced one of the most prolific careers in Tennessee high school history. He racked up 8,347 rushing yards and 102 rushing touchdowns over the course of his high school career, ranking second and third all-time in Tennessee high school football history.

Bishop won back-to-back Tennessee Mr. Football Awards as a senior (2,413 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns on 317 rushes) and junior (3,719 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns on 441 carries).

We are excited to host our 2nd Annual Night of Champions event for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport.

The Night of Champions brings individuals together for an ESPYS type award ceremony that recognizes the accomplishments of high school student athletes in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia communities. This event includes a meal, awards ceremony, and special guest.

In 2024, we hosted around 250 guests consisting of athletes, coaches, families and special guests at the Meadowview Conference Center and Resort. 

Hosted by News Channel 11 Sports Director Kenny Hawkins, guests had the opportunity to hear the accomplishments and highlights of some of our region's top athletes across multiple sports and hear the incredible story of perseverance in the face of adversity from Keynote Speaker Josh Dobbs, former Tennessee Vol and NFL QB. 

10 Athletes and teams were awarded in various categories and guests had opportunities to take pictures and interact with Josh Dobbs after the conclusion of the event.

Program Information

Athletes and their families can enjoy a red-carpet experience that includes photo and interview opportunities. Dinner is provided to all who attend and guests could have the chance for photos and autographs with the keynote speaker. The event will start at 6:00pm and should conclude around 8:00 pm.
