“It’s now starting to feel real that I won.” Terry said, as he was looking at his brand-new corvette in the Champion Chevrolet dealership in Kingsport.

Terry Duncan of Jonesborough, TN, is the proud owner of a brand new 2027 Corvette Stingray Coupe 1LT.

The Greater Kingsport Boys & Girls Club has hosted its fundraiser car raffle for almost 20 years. This year, the Club partnered with Champion Chevrolet in Kingsport to raffle a 2027 Corvette Stingray Coupe 1LT. It’s the first time in the history of the Club that it has raffled off a Corvette.

For almost 15 years, Terry Duncan and his wife have supported the Boys & Girls Club by purchasing one raffle ticket each, in hopes of taking home the grand prize. Well, this is the year their commitment finally paid off.

His lucky ticket number was drawn at the Boys & Girls Club Sneaker Ball Gala on Friday, July 31.  “We called the number on the ticket and put the phone on speaker in hopes that he would answer and everyone at the Gala would cheer and celebrate him winning.” Jonathan Albarado, Director of Development said. “Unfortunately, he didn’t answer but we left him a very energetic and excited voicemail with the crowd cheering on in the back letting him know he was the winner.”

Each year the car raffle raises thousands of dollars that support the Club programs, provides financial assistance for families, and helps with expanding the Club’s services in the community to make a bigger impact and to serve more kids in Kingsport. The Club is thankful to everyone who purchased a ticket in support of its mission of enabling all young people, especially those that need it most, to reach their full potential.

The staff at the Club extend their thanks and congratulations to Terry and his wife for winning and hope they enjoy the new ride.
